Announcement: Newsletter Launch + Content Changes

Summary

  • First Kenkyo newsletter will be issued on October 16th, 2017.
  • Sample newsletter issue, newsletter description page, and payment portal will go live on October 9th, 2017.
  • Minor content changes coming up with newsletter launch.

Newsletter Launch

I am happy to announce that we will be launching a Kenkyo newsletter this month! As you may have already guessed, the newsletter will exclusively cover Japan. I will post details on the newsletter description page, which will be available for viewing on October 9th, 2017.

The first newsletter issue will be released on October 16th, 2017. As a starting point, I plan on delivering 1 monthly issue @ $99 per month. All issues will be company specific. The companies covered won’t necessarily be immediately actionable ideas. The general approach here is to develop a portfolio of well-researched companies, then wait for valuation to come to us. Broadly speaking, I’d say 2 of the 12 annual issues will probably be actionable. Additionally, I will maintain a list of “Favorite” companies, which will have on-going coverage every 6 months.

Content Changes

I have been posting free company specific content on a weekly basis over the past several months. Though I intend to continue with the weekly publishing schedule, the content will change a little bit. In addition to company specific material, broader investment and Japanese market related writeups will be mixed in. For newsletter subscribers, I would eventually like to provide shorter writeups in addition to the monthly issue.

Thanks for your continued support! Please reach out to me on the contact page if you have any questions or feedback 🙂

Hi! I’m Clayton. My value investing journey began in 2012 during my college days. It was not until recently (2016!) that I decided to leverage my Japanese language skills to research Japanese equities. I hope to provide valuable insight on Japanese companies to the English-speaking world through this blog!
