A little bit about Fisco

Fisco is actually a publicly traded company on the JASDAQ Growth index of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. You can find it using the 3807 ticker. The company is involved in a wide variety of businesses ranging from information services to online travel/advertising agency, system development, and more.

The research reports are a small part of Fisco’s overall business. With a team of 7 analysts, the company produces research reports in both Japanese and English. Generally speaking, these reports are fairly basic. At the same time, it serves as a nice way to get a quick grasp on key information about a company. We’re talking about information like segment overviews, company history, recent business objectives, year-over-year financial highlights, and more.

To be frank, I personally don’t use the reports often as I am fluent in Japanese and do my own research. However, if you don’t speak Japanese, the reports ought to serve as a nice filter. You can quickly decide whether to take a closer look at a company. Later this week, I’ll go over how I would read through a Fisco report.

Feedback is welcomed!
